More ends up being less in this underwhelming sequel that includes some good ideas and a couple great scenes, but buries them within a ridiculous 141 minute runtime.
We rarely disagree but on this one, I have to disagree with you. The movie was a brilliant take on the spy genre. It laughed at itself while still maintaining a good measure of sincerity. The plot was just ludicrous but that’s what made it fun. It was escapism with heart. I’m so bloody tired of the darkness (see recent bond movies, recent batman movies, and everything else, recent). There was colour and adventure and great action scenes and it left me with a silly smile plastered on my face.
